InnerFrench

One of my absolute favourites is the InnerFrench podcast, created by Hugo Cotton, the founder of the InnerFrench language tuition outfit, and meanwhile produced as a team effort with Hugo taking turns (or co-producing episodes) with Ingrid.
Both stand out as speaking with a clear voice and well-paced tempo that facilitate listening comprehension.
This podcast (save maybe the very early episodes) is not for beginners. You will benefit most if you are an intermediate or advanced learner of French. Each episode revolves around a specific, always engaging topic. It will usually be related to “Things French”, be it history, society, culture, politics or current debates in France. But whatever the topic chosen, one can only say “chapeau!” with a view to how well researched and presented the episodes are. One may easily forget that the original motivation for listening was “improving one’s French”. For me this happens more as a side-effect as I keep being engaged chiefly by the captivating presentation of the topic, picking up pertinent vocabulary in the process.
